Job Description:

Responsible to conduct analysis, prepare reports, and summarize and interpret information for leadership review. Serve as a liaison between business and technical support teams to translate business requirements into workable solutions.

Gathers, analyzes, and documents current business practices and needs to identify efficiencies, alternatives, and gaps.

Acoustics Engineer – Entry Level Full-Time Positions

In this early career role, you will work on all product development tasks from conceptual stages through customer sign-off to ensure optimal acoustic performance is achieved. The role will include interaction with and guidance for base engine design as well as component design including gears, fuel systems, covers, turbos, air compressors, accessories, exhaust aftertreatment and motor mounts.

Apply acoustic fundamental skills to a wide variety of problems continuously striving to solve problems analytically in the concept stages.

Implement design-right-first-time guidelines based on anticipated customer requirements during the concept stages.

Ensure engine testing is completed at each prototype stage.

Ensure final prototype testing of vehicle/machine acoustic testing completed with customer facing interaction to ensure objective and subjective acoustic goals are being met.

Utilize the core competencies of acoustic/vibration source identification, transmission path analyses and radiation analyses.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A College, University or equivalent Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field.

Test Technology Engineer – Entry Level Full-Time Positions

In this early career role as a Test Technology Engineer, you will be designing or specifying test systems that allow the operation of Cummins’ products in a laboratory or field environment for engineering evaluation to optimize our product designs.

This involves the specification, design, implementation, validation, and support of test systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems.

Utilize the core competencies of electrical, thermal, and fluid sciences, to employ and develop equipment to be used in the testing of Cummins products.

Evaluate equipment and develop the skill to apply Measurement Uncertainty Analysis to measure and to determine the measurement capability of a system.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with testing equipment.
