2nd shift Manufacturing Engineer – US

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting the High Performance Work team including day to day floor support, tooling design, gauging, quality, and efficiency. Process improvement through collection and analysis manufacturing data to improve safety, product quality, customer delivery, and cost reductions. Provide on-floor process information for training and meeting engineering standards. Support and provide production associates the tools required to perform the job in a manner to meet all requirements. Support special process and customer audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.

• Minimum of one (1) year engineering or manufacturing experience required.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace engineering from an accredited institution.

• Previous lean and/or six sigma certification, with demonstrated results.

• Experience in high mix/low volume manufacturing environment.

• Experience in hose assembly, manual assembly/test, metal fabrication and bend, welding/brazing, chemical processes.

Product Engineer – US

The Product Engineer is responsible for the execution of administrative, engineering/technical, and sales functions in support of the goals established for the Power Center’s manufacture of high-quality products including Power Distribution, Control Equipment and Aftermarket Products.

Support a single product line which could include either Low Voltage Assemblies, Low Voltage Motor Control Centers, Medium Voltage Assemblies or Medium Voltage Switchgear

Prepare Bills of Material and CAD drawings, including control schematics and wiring diagrams, which shop personnel follow to build into a completed product meeting the customer requirement.

Maintain engineering schedule to ensure drawings are released and parts are ordered in time to support the Production build schedule.

Maintain good working relationships with Power Center Production team, Product Applications

Engineers, Supply Chain, customers, distributors and Eaton Sales personnel in support of a quality customer service effort.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field of study from an accredited institution.

Internship: Product Engineer – Syracuse, NY

Job Requirement:

• Work in a cross-functional/multi-disciplinary team, making technology/engineering decisions for project on time execution

• Support product design, and complete system/component modeling to meet specific requirements

• Create CAD drawings, 3D models, assemblies, etc.

• Support test plan development, including for 3rd party certifications, sample preparation, and data summary reports

• Ensure deployment of standard engineering practices, assessing test results, and root cause analysis through test findings/failures

• Prepare Design proposals and documentation required to define and control products

• Participate in design reviews, both customer and internal as required

Qualifications:

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in engineering with a major in mechanical, electrical, industrial, industrial & systems, aerospace or aeronautical engineering or applied engineering sciences from an accredited institution

• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round)

• Currently located within 50-mile radius of Syracuse, NY with housing available through summer break

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of freshman year by the start of the internship

• Prior internship or co-op experience

• Excellent written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community

• Self-motivated and a strong desire to achieve results

• Knowledge of SAP or similar MRP softwar

Internship: Field Service Representative (4-12 months) – Mississauga, ON, Canada

This position is responsible for working with the Electrical Engineering Service & Systems (EESS) group to provide on-site engineering and technical assistance in areas of electrical equipment maintenance, new equipment commissioning, custom electrical equipment modification, wiring, controls, drives and breakers.

Essential Functions:

• Assist Field Service personnel in a wide variety of electrical work

• Assist in creating detailed and quality reports to customers covering the scope of work performed

• Follow required safety practices

• Manage paperwork and office procedures, as required

• Perform all work at a high level of quality

• Be willing and available to work evenings and weekends, as required by our customers. Travel may be required

• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values, as well as Safety and Environmental standards

• Perform other duties, as required

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Co-Op Program in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

• Business travel to customer sites required, utilizing company vehicle

• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license

• This position does not offer relocation.

Preferred Qualifications

• 0 – 5 years of experience in manufacturing, electrical controls and/or power distribution products.
