Trainee Field Service Engineer – United Kingdom

As a Trainee Field Service Engineer at Honeywell, you will be responsible for committing to learn and develop yourself towards becoming a full Field Service engineer by following our structured learning path. You will work as part of an experienced, friendly team who will fully support you in this.

This is a remote based role, with the majority of our clients based in and around the M62 corridor, as such, you will be provided with a car as you will be visiting client sites regularly.

Qualifications:

Failure Analysis Engineer – Summer 2025 Intern (US Person Required)

Job Requirement:

Inspect, test, and deconstruct electronic components (e.g. resistors, capacitors, inductors, relays, microcircuits, etc.)

Be a part of the Failure Analysis Lab (FAL). This lab is also responsible for some materials testing (e.g. FTIR, epoxy testing, prohibited materials analysis, etc.) and there may be some cross training, but focus will be on electronic components

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Materials and Chemical Engineering or similar field

Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship

Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)

WE VALUE: 

Interest in semiconductor field. Knowledge of semiconductor materials and fabrication a plus

Interest in the process of failure investigation and pursuing root cause of failure

Electrical test experience is a plus (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters, curve tracers, function generators, power supplies, etc.)

Experience with x-ray and/or SEM is a plus

Graduate Project Engineer – UK

This Project and Automation team delivers Integrated Control & Safety solutions required for Projects primarily for the energy and Chemicals industrial sectors. You will have a buddy assigned to you and work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following:

· The purpose of this role is to execute projects and further develop your engineering skills.

· This will involve implementing defined parts of standard engineering solutions under the close supervision of other project engineers and assisting in the development of new or non-standard solutions.

· Deliver work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems

· Pro-actively look to build cross discipline experience and increase knowledge through working with other engineers.

· There are several different engineering areas that make up a project team. You will gain exposure in all these areas as a Graduate Project Engineer. Those areas are: Systems Hardware Design, System Hardware Build, Software Application Development/Build, HMI Development, System Integration, Internal Testing, and Customer Acceptance Testing.

Qualifications:

Visiting Scientist Summer 2025 – United States

Job Responsibilities

These non-permanent positions have been designed for a faculty member from a KCNSC-supported MSIPP, MCA, or consortium university or college to spend 10-12 weeks of summer at KCNSC to expand their research efforts and understanding of the KC campus activities.

The faculty member will work as part of a larger team of Scientists and Engineers to achieve the scope of work on one or more projects related to materials, electronics, or mechanical components.

Interface with internal organizations to resolve design, R&D, production, and acceptance issues,

Identify future technology focus areas,

Research and evaluate the relevant scientific literature in preparation for solving complex materials/component development problems,

Evaluate research results and make recommendations on a project’s forward path,

Draft reports, and prepare and deliver presentations on research results, as needed, to communicate progress and meet project milestones, and

Expand the existing project team knowledge base.

Qualification:

A Faculty position at a partnering MSIPP, MCA, or consortium university or college in academic year 2024/2025 in a Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar department

Ph.D. in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or similar
