Process Engineering Intern (Chemical)




We are looking for a Process Engineering co-op student for a minimum 8-month work term beginning in September 2019. You will be a part of the Technical Assurance Team at the Scotford Manufacturing facility that includes an Upgrader, Refinery and Chemical Plants.
You will also be assigned a project during your term and your tasks could include:
Assist with management of change tasks
Identify, execute and track energy saving projects
Continuous improvement initiatives
Responsible for monthly Energy reports and Key Performance Indicators
Various tasks supporting the Unit Operation Engineers
Various tasks supporting Process Safety Engineers




Reliability Engineering Co-op/Intern (Mechanical or related discipline)
We are looking for a Reliability Engineering Co-op/Intern for a minimum 8-month work term beginning in September 2019.
You will be a part of the Rotating Equipment Team at the Scotford Manufacturing facility that includes an Upgrader, Refinery and Chemical Plants.
You will be assigned a project during your term and and you’ll be working with a team to help deliver our biggest project related to pump seals LOPC (Loss of Primary Containment) prevention.




What we look for
You should be an actively enrolled student who will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship.
You must be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Shell.
As part of our process to identify remarkable individuals, we use a competency-based assessment methodology which focuses on Capacity, Achievement and Relationships (CAR).
Both the Process Engineering and Reliability Engineering Internship positions are safety-sensitive and will be subject to pre-employment testing including a Fit to Work Medical and Alcohol & Drug testing.
