PSG Summer Quant Research Intern – United States
Job Description:
Research and develop quantitative portfolio construction tools for allocations across a broad range of financial investments
Design investment solutions to be deployed for institutional clients who generally have complicated investment objectives and constraints, including pension funds, endowments and foundations, financial institutions, and ultra-high net worth clients
Conduct quantitative analysis to assess investment opportunity sets and key risks for various investment strategies for possible inclusion into portfolio
Perform multi-asset portfolio analysis for prospects and provide investment recommendations that enhance portfolio characteristics
Assistance in the development of proprietary quantitative tools, including alpha forecasting tool, portfolio optimization and risk management tools.
Qualification:
Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in coding (Python or Matlab preferred)
Resourceful, self-motivated individual with intellectual curiosity able to demonstrate creative approach to problem solving, and strong work ethic are necessary requirement for success in the position
Strong attention to detail, follow up and overseeing projects through completion
Must be able to produce high-quality work independently and excel in a team environment
Must be able to work under time sensitive constraints

The Client Service Associate assists with the development and growth of business through engaging and utilizing the full capabilities of the firm. This is a key role that requires an understanding of firm policies, procedures and firm capabilities in order to deliver the full firm to clients.
Qualification:
High School Diploma/Equivalency
College degree preferred
Industry experience is a plus
Willingness to obtain Series 7 (GS), and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA)
Knowledge/Skills

Associate- Product Control – India
Liaising directly with agents and clients to ensure deadlines are researched and processed in an accurate and timely manner for all clients participating in voluntary corporate actions.
Reconciliation of Corporate Actions and Coupons – this requires diligence, accuracy and self-motivation to ensure that risk is controlled and targets are met. Much of the reconciliation work can be complex, of high value and the resolution may require working with other teams and business units to ensure the correct outcome.
Risk monitoring & reporting Individuals must work closely with their line manager in order to prioritise key risks and identify potential loss-making breaks.
Liaising with counterparties in order to agree and settle claims on a timely basis.
Communicating with external agents and internal business units another essential component of the role is dealing with ad hoc requests from a variety of different Business Units across Morgan Stanley, e.g. Client Service Groups, Private Wealth Management and Financial Controllers, as and when they arise.
Required
The candidate should have a minimum of two-years banking experience
Good analytical / reconciliation skills.
Good command of English language (oral and written)
Good time management and attention to detail is essential, as the role is in a high volume, high risk area that works to strict deadlines.
Can work well under pressure, lending control and order to a difficult or pressurised situation
Prepared to work additional hours to meet deadlines and strong time management skills
Strong organisational skills, to be able to use time well and prioritise tasks effectively
Previous experience of Corporate Actions preferable
