Graduate Trainee : Global Banking & Markets – Malaysia

Job Description:

This Internship provides practical students/fresh graduates with hands-on experience while at the same time fulfilling their practical training requirements for their Degrees/Diploma. At HSBC, we also see this as an opportunity to train and identify practical students/ fresh graduates for future hiring.

Job Responsibilities:

During the training period, trainees will be assigned to carry out specific projects in designated departments under proper supervision. Typically, the projects assigned will take 12 months for fresh graduates.
The trainees’ role is to provide support in carrying out day to day activities, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
The position will help support a critical business (Global Banking) to accelerate and deliver its strategic priorities, including preparation of key materials and reports for strategic reviews and senior management decision making.
This includes engagement and interaction with key stakeholders across Business, Product and Risk-related functions and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office.
The position requires the ability to obtain, review, synthesize and present data (including figures and commentary) to support senior management decision making.
A high standard of personal and written communication, including collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders and interaction with executives.
The ability to produce a high standard of work with minimal direction and guidance.
The capacity to understand complex, dynamic and evolving situations and scenarios quickly and strategically

Qualification:

Candidate must be currently pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline; CGPA of 3.0 or above, or at least second class upper
Fluent in English; excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to analyse data/information and interpret the data for business decisions
A resourceful individual with good planning, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ambitious plus drive and motivation to work in a fast-paced environment where winning business and meeting targets are essential

Associate Development Programme (Graduate) – United Kingdom

Job Requirements:

The Associate Development Program runs for 12-18 months and has a focus on building core credit skills – you’ll partner with experts in either Relationship Banking and Structured Finance OR Strategic Fund Solutions depending on which pathway you choose to apply for.

In both pathways, you will work alongside relationship teams to assess and meet the needs of our clients.

You can expect a significant amount of hands-on activity with the client base that you are supporting, potentially working with clients across a range of different sectors and life stages. Structured training will focus on building skills and knowledge in the following areas:
• HSBC Innovation Banking & Industry orientation – business lines, innovation ecosystem, venture capital and private equity.

Analyst GSC’S – India

Mapping of transition finance opportunities, and support with sector specific decks/insights
Support on mapping priority corridors (likely China, India, Malaysia and possibly MENAT)
Ad-hoc support on New Economy initiatives (for example mapping of Venture Capital portfolios to CMB portfolios)
Ad-hoc support for segment specific projects (for example healthcare in Mid-Market team)

Job Responsibilities:

Job Description:

This role provides support and analytical expertise to deliver commercially relevant Global Collections, Underwriting, Credit Bureau and Fraud standards that build functional operational capabilities to deliver results. Will provide support across a spectrum of capabilities, including Analytics, UWS, Collections Operations, Credit Bureau, Fraud Operations, Change Management and Systems.

Responsible for partnering across the Regional Operations Analytics teams, as well as working with internal and external stakeholders to support the development, implementation, or enhancement of customer centric loss mitigation strategies to enhance functional capabilities.

Advanced English skills (conversational and written).
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, engineering or related field or equivalent experience; Master’s Degree preferred.
Strong management, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, project management and verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and statistical software packages, preferably R, Python or SAS.

Experience:

5 years proven credit policy and/or credit risk management/analytics experience, or equivalent. Strong knowledge and understanding of financial services preferred.
