Job Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationship with existing Customers and pitching for Repeat orders by cross selling and upselling.
Work directly with suppliers to obtain bids on new or ongoing projects.
Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts).
Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices including resolving their issues and queries.
Be able to work centrally with team members and other cross-functional teams to understand their requirement and get competitive quotes from Pan-India vendors.
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.
Be able to coordinate centrally with other departments within a company for the purchase of specialized materials or equipment.
Candidate Profile:
Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant/Officer or Sourcing Officer/Manager.
Good understanding of supply chain procedures and complete procure-to-pay cycle.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Knowledge of market research.
Solid organizational skills.
Fluent in Hindi and English
Must be Mumbai based
Qualifications:
• ANY GRADUATE
• Engineer Graduate must
• MBA would be good to have.
• 4+ years of experience in Procurement
• Good at negotiations, followup, liasioning etc.
• Good at communication, building relationships, extracting information and convincing to place new orders – A Sales Profile / Relationship management.
