L&T Power Development Ltd through its SPV Nabha Power Ltd is currently developing a 2100 MW (3700MW) supercritical coal-fired power plant at Rajpura (Punjab). Similar SPV’s are also underway and are in advanced stages of order bidding in other states, including in the states of Chhattisgarh & Orissa. Financial
1. Processing Coal Invoices Payments well in time after due verifications.
2. Reconciliations with Coal Companies vis- a- vis Advances paid periodically
3. Coal Sourcing Performance Monitoring and Accounting of Washeries and Coal Companies.
4. Energy Accounting and Analysis of Losses on a Monthly Basis.
5. Cost monitoring through Budgetary Control.
6. Assistance in ICFR and Internal Audit for Coal Accounting Processes.
7. Timely MIS to minimize Under Recoveries and to optimize the Working Capital.
Internal Process
1. Recording and reporting of Coal Receipts, Issues and Closing Stock in SAP and in compliance with prescribed accounting standards and policies.
2. Evaluate performance-based metrics for the Washeries and timely report any variances.
3. Support execution of financial and process audits.
4. Checking of bills against the power sales based on inputs from operations and fuel sourcing as per the PPA.
5. Ensure zero noncompliance during various statutory/internal audits.
6. To facilitate communication on financial matters to the Board.
7. Business forecasting & sensitivity analysis, business alerts, convener of the risk management process.
