Meta’s Data Center Capacity & Performance Engineer to join the Strategic Planning & Analytics (SP&A) team to focus on data center performance and capacity engineering initiatives.

Data Center Capacity Engineer (University Grad)

Location: Bellevue, WA | Fremont, CA

Job Description:
Scale one of the largest data centers and computing footprints in the world.
Work with Data Center Engineering, Capacity Engineering, Product Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, and Data Engineering teams to find the optimal way to scale the infrastructure.
Provide deep visibility into power, performance and health for all data center locations: Develop capacity insights and KPI’s for global portfolio of data centers utilization and how changes to our products and company events impact power, performance and asset utilization.
Help optimize our capacity usage: Develop behavioral capacity models, run capacity and performance simulations to determine scaling and utilization parameters and optimize capacity footprint.
Help grow our data center footprint efficiently: Translate current and future software and application needs into requirements for data center location strategies ensuring optimal site-wide performance and cost savings.

Qualifications :
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Experience in software and hardware performance engineering, power analysis and simulation, or capacity engineering.
Experience in coding & scripting languages such as C, C++, C#, and Python.
Performance modeling and Performance Simulator experience.
Analytical and simulation based analysis and planning experience.
Interpersonal and communication experience.
Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications :
PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other technical field.
Performance Simulator development experience.
Experience in MySQL.
Experience with Hadoop.
