Principal Cost Estimator
Job Description:
Preparing project cost estimates as required, typically AACEI Class 5 to 3, considering the project contracting strategy and execution schedule.
Preparing OPEX, ABEX and Economic analysis as scope requires.
Preparing both estimate basis and report documents as well as presentations.
Active participation in workshops and client presentations.
Analysing data and benchmarking cost estimates, considering regional and market influences.
Contributing to training and development of other staff including identifying employee strengths and weaknesses and recommends training and development
Requirements.
Interfacing with Company and Project Managers.
Supporting preparation of proposals.
Identifying and resolving discrepancies and deviations from the original proposal/contract.
Contributing to training and development of other staff, including identifying employee strengths and weaknesses and recommending training and development requirements.
Essential Skills:
The successful candidate will have bachelor’s degree in Engineering, chartered status is preferred, but not essential.
Experience working for Engineering/Client organisation’s in the Oil and Gas Industry is preferred, with a strong knowledge of industry standard software, such as Questor.
Exposure to Consultancy, FEED/ Detailed Design and EPC projects is essential for the role and more importantly the ability to credibly present and communicate to clients.
