DHL Global Forwarding is looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our team
Job Description:
Use your freight forwarding expertise and hunter mentality to identify new targets, qualify those prospects and take them through the sales cycle.
Shape and execute strategic business plans for larger and more complex opportunities.
Establish strong relationships with customers through a deep understanding of their business and the market.
Evaluate the scope and scale of customer needs and delivering a high standard of internal customer service.
Recommend solutions based on customer needs, connecting a customer need with a DHL solution that can generate value for the customer.
Gather crucial customer information for the RFI/RFP/RFQ, and preparing documents for customer implementation to ensure smooth operational handover and fulfilment of customer expectations (SLA’s & SOP’s).
Develop strong partnership with Operations and Product teams to support your growth plan.
Qualification:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Sales with strong knowledge of Freight Forwarding.

Transport Systems Analyst (Asst. Manager) – Singapore
Transport System Analyst is responsible for implementing transport IT solutions for customers, and act as IT subject matter expert during business pursuit to understand customer’s IT requirements and develop the IT solutions proposals.
Drive full transport system implementations for country using DHL strategic IT solutions.
Develop TMS implementation solution proposal for new business pursuits.
Promote innovation initiatives through IT implementations and continue to drive improvement for existing operations.
Apply IT Project Management methodology (DePICT) to IT project activities, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, budget and timelines.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent.
Good understanding of transportation and/or warehouse operational process and strong analytical skills.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT solution analysis, implementation and ongoing support, including at least 1 year of TMS implementation experience.
Experience in BluJay or e2Open TMS implementations is preferred.
Experienced in Jasper Reports, PL/SQL script development.
Experience in implementation of route optimization IT tools will have added advantage.
Experienced in business analytical tools such as PowerBI preferred.
Possess commercial awareness and effective communication & interpersonal skills.
