Job Description:

Engaging in public policy research with internal and external partners

Securing advocacy opportunities and logistics for engagements

Submitting diverse written reporting to Walmart executives

Qualifications:

Job Description:

Applying machine learning ranking algorithms to maximize the relevance of search system and minimize risks.

Building, validating, testing and deploying predictive models using machine learning techniques to explain or predict behavior and solve a variety of business and engineering problems.

Identifying, collecting, and exploring the right data used for predictive modeling and algorithm development.

Performing and leading developments using machine learning techniques in one or more of the key areas like natural language processing, computer vision, information retrieval, entity recognition, product classification, and recommender system.

Qualification:

You have 3+ years of work and research experience in the machine learning field with a deep understanding of machine learning and interest in applying it at scale.

You have experience with data cleaning, preparation, and featurization and selection techniques.

You have experience working with large datasets to solve problems.

You have experience with deep learning library like TensorFlow and/or PyTorch is highly desirable as well as experience with Spark and/or Hadoop.

You have/had hands-on experience with Python, Java or Scala and the ability to write reusable and efficient code to automate machine learning pipeline and data processes.

You have effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

You have the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams.

You can work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.

Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computational Linguistics or related fields.

Software Engineer:

We’re looking for Backend, Front end, and Full Stack Software Engineers to join Walmart Global Tech!

As a Software Engineer, you’ll use your software design, analysis, and programming skills to create innovative tools and system enhancements to drive change for our customers.

You will research, conceive, and develop software applications to extend and improve technology

Job Responsibilities:

Work with a team of technologists with experience in JavaScript, React, Node, Java, Spring Boot, Cosmos DB, Docker, and many other technologies to adopt and implement best practices
Interact with application teams, architects, and PMs to design and implement new functionality
Design, write, and review code that impacts millions of customers in a collaborative environment among cross functional teams

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including the discovery phase to develop and implement long term solutions and impact the end user

Work in an agile/scrum environment to deliver high quality software to our customers

Design new tools to monitor smart alerts, that help discover technical problems in a timely manner while working cross functionally with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve

Augment existing instrumentation to build a cohesive picture that incorporates the characteristics of our systems with special attention to points of failure

Desired Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Development or other relevant majors

Qualifications:

Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program currently
