Software Development Internship
Xerox is looking for a highly motivated, skilled, software engineer to join our Client Platform Development team. You will be involved in the development of applications, print drivers and utilities that support Xerox multifunctional devices in various Windows or macOS operating systems. You will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for all aspects of the software delivery process including defining requirements, designing, and developing software solutions. This entry-level position requires someone with developing skills in Swift, C# and C++ as well as basic knowledge of Windows Runtime Components and MVC principles. Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Azure is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
Experience in Xcode, Objective-C and Swift
Demonstrates C# programming knowledge, including understanding of WPF and MVC principles
Has the ability to debug basic failures and diagnose root causes
Exhibits diligence and self-direction
Completes assigned tasks accurately. Shows attention to detail and can be trusted to perform consistently.
Delivers quality work in a timely manner

Software Engineering Internship
Remediate security violations on Windows/Linux systems by upgrading or removing 3rd party software. Knowledge of Excel, Windows, Linux administration.
Convert Confluence Wiki pages to SharePoint documents or Stack Overflow “How-To” postings.
Knowledge of Word and technical writing skills, python scripting maybe required.
Assist in implement some sort of container (Docker/Kubernetes) in Jenkins for builds. Knowledge of
Jenkins and python scripting required, Docker/Kubernetes knowledge a plus.
Migrate SharePoint locations to One Drive. Knowledge of basic data transfer required.
Refactor Puppet code to an Open-Source solution (e.g. bolt or something that is open-source).
Knowledge of python scripting required, Puppet knowledge a plus.
Automate maintaining desktop applications on servers of various open-source applications (NotePad++, Chrome, FireFox, Git, Corretto, Wireshark, etc.). TBD on requirements.
In addition to knowledge requirements specified, candidate must work well in team environment and have good communications skills. Candidate will be required to track effort against tasks in in-house planning tool.

Job Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will support a wide variety of tasks and functions within the group that will include the following elements:
Participate in design activity for various features. Responsible for embedded applications and new feature design, development and programming in C, C++, Java, python, PHP and JavaScript on a Linux platform.
Work with customer representatives to gather, detail, document, and clarify requirements at the beginning of a new project.
Design, implement, debug and unit test software for new and existing applications.
Document design choices and implementation methods before moving on to next task.
Participate in code reviews.
Maintain and improve the existing code base.
Implement Object Oriented design concepts.
Create various Unit Tests and perform Test-driven development.
Engage in Web development using PHP/JavaScript/AJAX.
Develop and enhance SOAP and RESTful web services.
Collaborate with software team members and other cross-functional teams, to see projects to completion in an agile environment.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
Experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments
Knowledge of systems engineering practices, the software development life cycle, software development methodologies, and sound coding practices

Software Development Intern
Job Responsibilities:
Work with mentor software engineers to gain hands-on experience in the development and test of a Microsoft Azure cloud-based application
Utilize Azure DevOps tools to design, develop, deploy, and test the cloud application
Troubleshoot and determine root cause and resolution for application defects
Perform unit, performance, and system integration testing of the cloud application, as well as utilize automation tools
Collaborate using the Agile Scrum software development methodology
Participate in the peer inspection process
Use software version control tools and manage code
Qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
Minimum of 3.0 GPA
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to quickly learn and apply relevant new technologies, tools, methods, and processes into assigned work
