Job Description
Platform power management software engineer needs to enable and debug windows platform power management features, this includes all the low power states at device and at platform. Engineer needs to participate in all the debug and task-force related to power management functionality. Engineer needs to interact with both internal and external stakeholders on debug updates. Engineer needs to participate in platform power on.
Qualifications
BE or M.tech graduates and having good understanding in windows platform power management feature enabling and debug with following skills * Formulates power management debug strategy on failures, creates and updates debug scripts and analyses dump to root cause failures * Works with IP SW/FW team to analyse proposed power management solution and its impacts to overall platform * Drives power management based debug strategy and works across IP SW and silicon validation partners for unifying debug scripts, tools and methodologies * Well versed with ACPI specification and BIOS implementation various IP’s, PCIe devices, various systems state and low power state transitions. * Understand details on Core/Pipeline Architecture, Multithreading, clocking, fuses, Uncore (Memory controller, Display, Media, IPU, VPU, IOC, VTd) and Hetero architecture. * Understanding on PCH IP’s, PMC, Boot flow, various power states (Sx/WR) and lowest power sub states (S0ix.y) * Well versed with debug infrastructure and tools e.g. Logic analyzer, Windbg, Lauterbach, Kernel debug, ITP expertise, Scandumps and PCIe analyzers etc
