Technical Support Engineer
Job Description:
Responsible for triaging and troubleshooting the most technically challenging support cases, ensuring operational excellence, advocating for product quality, and shipping quick win fixes and long term improvements through hand-on experience with the code
Becomes familiar with product code base and architecture
Engages in early product development discussions to enhance product testability, stability, and customer experience
Streamlines and supports bug triage, looks at code as part of bug triage and fixes minor bugs
Drives process changes to team’s operational engineering excellence and leads by example
Investigates missing logging and implements logging if needed
Audits test coverage investments and recommends hi-impact test additions
Owns bug and incident root-cause and drives long-term improvements through trend analysis
Qualification:
Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Experience must include 6 months of experience in the following:
Coding and testing applications
Software engineering principles and practices
Test and tool development methodologies
C++, Java, or another object-oriented programming language
Hack, Perl, PHP, or Python
Relational databases and SQL
Load and Performance testing techniques
