Job Description:
We are looking for Database Engineer candidates who will contribute to architecture and design solutions for multiple database technologies including Oracle, Postgres, and MySQL —both on-premises and in AWS, and will provide exceptional support for fast-paced, sophisticated distributed database production and non-production environments supporting OLTP and OLAP systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
Working knowledge in change data capture technologies (GoldenGate, Debezium)
Very skilled in database monitoring, tuning, and alerting with tools like Datadog, OEM, CloudWatch,
Grafana, PagerDuty or similar technologies
Experienced in Infrastructure as Code via Terraform or similar technologies
Good knowledge of Linux/Unix internals, systems/application design & architecture
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and root cause analysis
Have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams
3 or more years of industry experience designing, managing, and supporting production databases at scale
2+ years supporting Oracle databases
1+ years supporting Aurora Postgres and Aurora MySQL
Experience in handling architectural & design considerations such as performance, scalability and availability
Expertise in relational database engineering and administration for on-prem and RDS Oracle (19c, 12c), Aurora Postgres (12+), and Aurora MySQL (5.7+)
Preferred Qualifications

Distributed Build Systems Engineer
We are looking for experienced engineers to join our efforts. You’ll work on extending large-scale novel build and distributed systems to meet the needs of Apple’s operating system engineers.

Job Description:
You’ll work on solving build system problems by leveraging a strong distributed backend.
You’ll find ways to combine our unique problem domain with established distributed system techniques to achieve both high performance and reliability.
You’ll analyze problem requirements, existing solutions, and available systems and make high-level architectural decisions about how to architect the backend, considering both short- and long-term goals.
Once solutions are identified, you will work alongside our team to implement them while developing appropriate testing and operational mechanisms.
Qualifications:
3+ years of industry experience, a Graduate degree, or equivalent experience preferred
Strong software architecture and coding abilities.
Interest in build systems, cloud services, and other high-performance system software.

Job Description:
– Contribute to the architecture, design, development, and operations of large-scale systems designed for machine learning.
