US Data & Analytics Office Analyst

The Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting Business Process Owners (BPOs), Report Owners, Metric Owners, to complete required updates to data associated with business processes, reports, metrics, and EUCs to measure and maintain compliance with the BCBS239 Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDAR) principles and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC)’s “Heightened Standards” for risk management and governance.

Qualification:

They will work under the supervision and guidance of a Data Coordinator, who is responsible for monitoring policy compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with an emphasis on Pivot Tables.
Strong written & verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Detail-oriented.
Risk & Compliance expertise a plus.
Data knowledge (data management, data lineage, data integrity, data quality, etc) a plus.
Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines and to be change-oriented.

Analyst

Undertake high quality industry, competitor and client level financial analysis for Global Banking (GB) and Commercial Banking (CMB) Relationship Management (RM) Team.
Analysis of financial documentation and supplemental data to support lending decision-making and recommending credit requests to appropriately meet business needs.
Preparing credit analyses in support of new and existing business relationships.
Ensure that all work is delivered within agreed timeframes, PLAs and meets the required high quality standard.
Understand and comply with all relevant policies, FIM guidelines and procedures issued by the Group.
Pro-actively suggest and design improvements in process workflow, where applicable.
Communicate clearly with team members and other parts of GBM as required.

Qulification:

C.A. / CFA / MBA Finance, Economics or equivalent is essential and any professional qualification is desirable.

Analyst, Asset Based Lending

As our Analyst, Asset Based Lending you will:

Collaborate with Senior Underwriting Managers, Senior Portfolio Managers, and Relationship Managers to analyze new ABL lending opportunities and manage the portfolio of existing loans
Conduct company and industry due diligence, collateral and financial analysis, financial modeling / projections, and legal diligence, identify transaction risks and mitigants, and prepare credit approval memoranda
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties, including relationship managers, the credit approval team, the collateral examination group, appraisers, legal counsel, management teams, and financial sponsors
Assist the ABL Group with various projects
Ensure compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards and policies
Optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues
Promote a positive environment that reflects the HSBC brand

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field
Experience in asset based lending or general credit training preferred however not required
Strong planning, communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to work well in a team environment, build personal relationships with current and potential clients, and demonstrate strong and succinct written and verbal communication skills
