Stores Administrator – UK, Europe

Job Description:

The Stores Administrator will help the engineering and production functions.

They will do this at the 20” Pipe Mill. They will provide first-line support to both.

You will ensure that the supply of Goods and Services for the site meets demand and timescales.

As part of the role, the Stores Administrator will be responsible for:

Your task is to make requisitions to buy goods and services.

You do this for all departments and functions.

The goal is to ensure a speedy conversion to a purchase order and completion/delivery.

We will speed up all open purchase orders.

We will work with both Vendors and our Procurement department.

We will resolve price, quantity, and technical issues.

This will ensure that deliveries are on time.

You will assist in hiring and controlling all site plant equipment.

You will ensure materials are on site by the required date.

They must be made ready for collection when the hire ends.

You will help the MRP Controller.

You will manage all ‘Off-Site’ repairs for the plant.

This includes from quotation to completion.

You will ensure all the needed paperwork is made, processed, and closed out quickly.

Qualification:

The Stores Administrator should have past experience in a busy office.

Ideally, this was in the engineering or construction industry. But, this is not essential.

You must show the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

You will also be good with computers.

You will be comfortable using Microsoft Office. Ideally, you have used SAP Material Management before. But, this is not required. We will provide the necessary training.

The Stores Administrator must handle pressure.

You must plan your own work well.

You need a strong focus on customers and suppliers.

You must be able to give helpful service to a diverse customer group.

Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer

The principal responsibilities of this role are to support operations teams by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability, business objectives and productivity targets are maintained.

The role can be an interesting and challenging one, with two days never the same. If you are up for a challenge and are looking to put your own stamp on this position, then we want to hear from you.

Additional responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to:

Reporting and recording of maintenance and repair details for all work activities, using the appropriate maintenance management and IT systems

To support the department in the development and implementation of processes which comply with the Tata Steel H&S Management System

Utilising the planned maintenance system (Pirana), raising emerging work orders detailing non conformities observed and proposed corrective actions necessary to resolve issues

Support the Engineering team to determine root cause and measures appropriate to prevent reoccurrence

Ensuring clear and concise records are maintained in order trends can be determined and corrective actions identified

Qualification:

To be considered for this position you must be qualified at a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade or have served a recognised apprenticeship.

You will need to demonstrate a sound electrical background and proven track record. The successful candidate will operate as part of a small team and should be fully conversant with current health & safety regulations.

Ideally you will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering / industrial environment, essential to the role is the ability to adapt to new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.

Electrical Craft Team Member

We are looking for someone to provide first line expertise to our manufacturing areas as part of a small, multi-disciplined engineering team.

Reporting to the shift engineer, you’ll:

Assist the engineering team in carrying out preventative & reactive maintenance

Continuously maintain Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensure safe working procedures are followed

Provide first line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtime

Suggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems through collaboratively working with relevant peers

Possess a high quality of work, ensuring any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and are robust enough to prevent recurrence

We want to speak to people that can bring a problem solving approach to their work. You’ll have completed an electrical apprenticeship, or possess a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar).

The successful candidate will ideally have a background in heavy engineering manufacturing, as well as possessing excellent interpersonal skills.

We’d also love to speak with individuals who have experience with:

Industrial/domestic wiring

Overhead Cranes & associated safety systems

PLC’s in the main Siemens & Allen Bradley including HMI’s

Expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurations

Variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, including speed feedback devices

Interpret electrical drawings

Awareness of Safety related control systems
