Job Description

Primary duties include preparing financial statements and reports and advising company leaders on investment practices and strategies. Financial accountants also communicate a company’s financial status with external audiences and stay current on the latest economic trends affecting financial decisions.
The accounting and finance department is at the centre of any organization and is responsible for ensuring the efficient financial management and financial controls necessary to support all business activities.
Prepares monthly statements by collecting data, analyzing, and investigating variances, and summarizing data and trends.
Prepares state quarterly and annual statements by assembling data.
Complies with state and federal tax filing requirements by studying regulations, adhering to requirements, and advising management on required actions.
Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
Provides financial advice by studying operational issues, applying financial principles, and practices.
Prepares special reports by studying variances, preparing budgets, and developing forecasts.
Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Updates job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices.

Job Description:

The position supports the GST compliance & litigations in a timely and effective manner. With the increased focus on GST compliances, the position shall conduct regular reviews and system effectiveness must be ensured. Also responsible for VAT (MP) assessments & appeals. Ability to handle various statutory compliances, operational procedures & related documentation. Handle various notices, audits, assessments & litigation of the Company

Corporate Indirect Taxation Dept. at Powai, Mumbai is responsible for VAT and GST compliances and litigation support in coordination with all the IC’s. It also supports some of the S&A companies with respect to Indirect Tax compliances.

Exposure to Construction contracts covering VAT / CST, Entry tax is an advantage.

Candidate should possess reasonable communication skills, be a team worker.
