Software Engineer Program Early Careers

The Software Engineer Program (SEP) is a global two year career development program designed to provide entry level talent with the foundational technical and professional skills enabling them to build robust networks and establish successful careers in technology at JPMorgan Chase.

Our team partners with our stakeholders to deliver a superior global program through challenging roles, engaged managers, and dynamic development opportunities.

Training

Induction Training – A comprehensive introduction to Technology at JPMC for newly hired SEP engineers. This global in-person training experience is two weeks long and designed, developed and delivered in partnership with Technology leaders, IT subject matter experts, and an extensive network of JPMC IT professionals. SEPs put their learning to work in a team project with winning teams presenting to senior leaders.

Continuous Learning Journey – During the two-year program SEP engineers further their skills with a technical and professional skills curriculum, including Tech Center based classroom learning, participation in a Code for Good project, online learning, peer to peer learning, and town halls.

Program Manager Support

The SEP Program Managers are advocates and key resources for SEP engineers on matters related to their role, career development, and overall experience as they integrate into JPMC. Program managers provide coaching in groups and one on one and partner with various groups to provide activities and experiences to SEP engineers.

Graduation

Completion of the program is recognized with celebrations in Tech Centers worldwide. SEP engineers continue their careers at JPMC and are considered for promotion to Associate in accordance with the Global Technology Promotion Guidelines.

Full-Time Availability
No experience needed

Preferred qualifications:

Java, Python, SQL, React knowledge
The start date of the program will be in April 2026.

Qualifications:
