Tax Specialist – UK and Ireland
Job Description:
Preparing tax computations for a range of Irish and UK entities, filing relevant tax returns, and dealing with any Revenue and HMRC queries.
Preparation of preliminary tax for a range of Irish and UK subsidiaries
Preparation of tax provisions as part of both the year end US GAAP and Statutory process for UK and Ireland operating entities.
Responsibility for the preparation of the year-end tax packages for submission to the Global tax group as well as answering queries and providing data as required.
Calculation of the UK and Ireland Effective Tax Rate on a quarterly basis.
Preparation of the Tax forecast on a quarterly basis.
Responsibility for managing the tax compliance process for acquisitions and liquidations.
Preparation of the ePSWT (Form F50A)for submission of Professional Services Withholding Taxes (PSWT) to Irish Revenue.
Detailed review of monthly tax reconciliations
Developing the relationship with both Country Controller and Global tax Group.
Ensure integrity and completeness of financial records and internal financial controls.
Manage the relationship with tax advisors answering queries & providing data as required.
Involvement in setting up and improving on processes with a view to making them more efficient.
Facilitate and provide cross team support as required
Qualifications:
Part Qualified Tax professional/ working towards a professional tax qualification.
Detailed knowledge of tax legislation and current Revenue Practices
Professional accounting qualification an advantage but not essential
AlphaTax and SAP experience an advantage but not essential
Knowledge of Accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP) and UK and Ireland tax legislation
Accounting background with strong analytical skills
Positive attitude and flexible
Strong Project management skills
Customer focused
Sense of responsibility, initiative and high quality work standard
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise

Job Description:
You will be aligned to our Financial Services, banking, Insurance, and Capital Market vertical which is focused on helping clients with their tax preparations, insurance coverage, and investment portfolios. You will be working as a part of Investment Banking team which specializes primarily in selling securities and underwriting the issuance of new equity shares to raise capital funds. They act as intermediaries between security issuers and investors and help new firms to go public. The Accenture Post Trade Processing (APTP) team focuses on the life cycle of trade settlements from the middle office to back office. The team is responsible for the processing of trade settlements and deals with products like equity, fixed income and derivatives. The role may require for you to have expertise around trade validation, pre-matching, trade execution and post-trade settlements.
