CPU Register Transfer Level Designer, Silicon, University Graduate

Job Responsibilities

Provide CPU front-end designs, emphasizing on microarchitecture and Register-Transfer Level (RTL) design for the next generation CPU.
Propose performance enhancing microarchitecture features with efficiency in mind. Work with architects and performance teams for trade-off studies. Communicate pros and cons of microarchitecture enhancements and facilitate final decision making.
Deliver designs that meet Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) goals with production quality.
Be familiar with techniques for at least one processor functional block. Interpret the techniques into design constructs and languages in order to provide guidance to and participate in the performance modeling effort.
Work closely with the functional verification team to ensure production quality designs, and with the physical design team to meet frequency, power, and area goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience in microprocessor architecture through coursework, academic projects, internships, or industry experience.
Foundational experience in logic design through academic projects, internships, or industry experience.

Software Engineer, University Graduate

Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Take on tasks as requested, following through to completion despite roadblocks or distractions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
Experience working with data structures or algorithms during coursework/projects, research, internships, or practical experience in school or work (e.g., open-source coding).

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.

CPU Design Verification Engineer, Silicon, University Graduate

Job Responsibilities

Design verification for future CPU developments.
Build functional verification infrastructure, including unit, multi-unit, core, and subsystem level verification environments.
Produce diagnostic code repositories that sufficiently enable production of quality CPU’s.
Verify and validate performance for both pre-silicon and post-silicon.

Qualifications:

Job Responsibilities

Plan the verification of complex digital design blocks by fully understanding the design specification and interacting with design engineers to identify important verification scenarios.
Create and enhance constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM, or formally verify designs with SVA and industry leading formal tools.
Identify and write all types of coverage measures for stimulus and corner-cases.
Debug tests with design engineers to deliver functionally correct design blocks.
Close coverage measures to identify verification holes and to show progress towards tape-out.
