Entry Level Reliability Engineer – Space Launch System
Job Description:
Analysis of electrical circuits and systems to determine single failure points utilizing Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) techniques. As an entry-level position the engineer is expected to learn and develop the skills of a Reliability engineer which is to perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Criticality Analysis, Reliability Analysis and Maintainability Analysis.
Development of Reliability Block Diagrams to represent the reliability relationship between components of a system and allow for the development of block failure models used to evaluate the reliability of a system and obtain life/event data concerning each component/subsystem.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Minimum technical bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Electrical Engineering degree/experience preferred
Prior experience supporting space programs preferred
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
