Entry Level Field Test Engineer
Job Description:
Test Engineer will spend 80% of their time Performing RF Drive Test activities on pre-defined sites with VoLTE, LTE, 4G, 3G and UMTS technology. Perform drive testing using NEMO & TEMS experience is preferred. Perform individual sector tests, single site verification (SSV), cluster baseline drives, inter-radio access technology (IRAT) exit route test, inter-frequency hand off (IFHO) exit routes, and cluster re-drives. Measure and analyze LTE parameters like RSRP, RSSI, RSRQ, SINR and CQI Measurement. Collect both scanner and UE data (SC, RSCP and Ec/No, RSSI) for all the detected cells. Perform Stationary test at the cell sites to check/verify the download/upload throughput. Perform attach/detach tests and ping tests. Perform CSFB testing to verify LTE call success rate and call drop rate, speed-test & E911. Performed Stationary test at the cell sites to check/verify the throughput (DL/UL). Monitor the real-time performance of the testing, ensuring data collected is accurate and the test runs smoothly. Review test results for accuracy and quality.
Responsible for keeping the company vehicle safe.
Must have the flexibility to travel as needed to meet job requirements. Resolve minor computer problems with navigation and data collection software.
Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record is must
BSEE, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication engineering.
Candidate should be able to read schematic, quick learner and able to learn from Training program and apply in the field testing. A good communicator and team player is plus.
Candidate with Basic understanding of RF theory working in cellular field, debugging & troubleshooting network device issues is preferred.
Experience with wireless engineering field testing and troubleshooting is plus
Understanding of GSM, UMTS/WCDMA, CDMA, VoLTE and 5G preferred.
Experience with different mobile operating systems such as Android and iOS
Familiarity with MapInfo. TEMS investigation, NEMO, R&S and Wind products is preferred
