Jr. Pipe Support Engineer, Cape Canaveral (217125)
Job Description:
Essential duties include the locating and designing supports in a 3D model for various piping systems and performing associated calculations.
Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.
Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.
BS degree in an engineering with a minimum of 1 years’ experience
US Citizenship required
Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 piping codes
Prior experience using a pipe support structural analysis program
GT Strudl frame anaylsis experience,
Prior experience modeling pipe supports in a 3D model
Experience with dynamic time history, fatigue and vibration analysis
PE Registration
Previous Bechtel project experience
