As an Automation Engineer your job will be in defining and developing our manufacturing execution systems, which manage and control our semiconductor fabrication and testing work flows. You will work closely with internal research teams, academic institutions, external partners and vendors. You will help define requirements and deliverables, schedule and track project progress. Infrastructure Automation Engineer
Job Description:
INFRASTRUCTURE AUTOMATION ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure
Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods
Oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct code review) and provide guidance to team members
Assist with solving technical problems when they arise
Engage with the corporate Infrastructure and networking teams to design solutions amenable to the hardware development needs
Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals, to include but not limited to server uptime and availability, network connection speeds, manufacturing application uptimes
Work with multiple sites and partner companies
Expect to travel domestically and internationally
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
Advanced understanding of Linux
Knowledge of coding languages – e.g. Bash, Python
Experience with high performance enterprise storage and servers
Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and factory systems
Experience in the semiconductor or electronics industry is essential
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in cloud technologies
