Asset & Wealth Management Operations – Client Onboarding & Configuration – Associate – Bengaluru

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to constantly apply sound business judgment in order to identify unusual or suspicious documentation or activity.
  • Develop a profound understanding of Client Identification Program (CIP) policies involving country specific requirements and translate this knowledge to day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Satisfy the responsibility for completing detailed reviews of documentation for new and existing clients, including legal agreements and organizational documents.
  • Engage in opportunities to review processes, analyze information, make decisions and recommendations, and implement and monitor procedures.
  • Becoming commercially aware and understand the nature of the business you are involved in while at the same time ensuring all Goldman Sachs CIP standards are constantly being met.
  • Displaying a strong ability to influence the PWM Business by serving as a liaison between Anti-Money Laundering Compliance and Sales teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 – 2 years of work experience in Operations or related field
  • 1 – 2 years of work experience in Finance or related field
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word

  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Global Banking & Markets -Counterparty Risk- Associate – Bengaluru

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing product risk, including credit limit and settlement risk monitoring, limit exception management, stress testing, risk exposure analysis and post-trade risk management processes
  • Daily review of tall tree client exposures, risk profile and collateral balances
  • Engage in document negotiation to review and approve material economically impactful terms in trading agreements
  • Design strategy to respond macro market changes and work closely with cross-divisional project teams to implement initiatives
  • Analyze, monitor, and report the Division’s credit exposures across swaps, options, forwards, and repurchase agreements
  • Flag exposures that exceed the firm’s appetite to its counterparties to senior managers and other colleagues
  • Identify and appropriately escalate issues related to data and work accuracy and quality
  • Take initiative to identify opportunities for process improvements and develop methods to reduce risks, increase controls, and increase communication
  • Engage with internal stakeholders both within Global Markets (Trading, Sales and operations) and the federation (Risk, Legal and Compliance) on overall GS Risk appetite to clients and tools to mitigate the risk

Qualification:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in Risk Management or Risk taking role in a financial institution
  • Derivative operations, credit analysis, ratings analysis, corporate finance and/or research desired
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record
  • Strong interest and familiarity with finance, global financial markets and economic developments.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly in teams and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines.
  • Highly motivated with strong academic background and a commitment to excellence
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
