Are you looking for an exciting apprenticeship opportunity? We offer a 1-year training program! The Maintenance Technician Apprentice performs basic preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds in an on-the-job training environment. Working under close supervision, this role assists in monitoring building system operations and performance using basic trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.

Performs entry-level preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds in an on-the-job training working environment. Working under close supervision assists in supervising building system operations and performance. Utilizes several entry-level trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

Job Description:

Aligns with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Observes and receives training, instruction, and guidance on various building operations processes.
Adheres to existing working practices, methods, and procedures and undertakes relevant training and development activities.
Performs general labor work as assigned.
Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Runs errands to support projects.
Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures, replacing bulbs and lamps, and participating in lamp recycling programs.
Under supervision, assists with solving and repairing buildings and installed systems, including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
Performs housekeeping functions and maintains the professional appearance of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
Paints and patches drywall. Performs other minor carpentry repairs under supervision.
Maintains grounds of facility or property performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, pressure washing, or snow removal.
Responds quickly to emergencies, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Successful completion of apprenticeship coursework is required.

Qualification:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Entry-level and/or related experience (commercial building/engineering operations)
Trade school training or apprenticeship.
Universal CFC certification preferred or working toward CFC certification and/or local or state license in mechanical or HVAC trade. Valid Driver License may be required.

Entry Level HVAC Maintenance Tech Apprentice – USA

Job Responsibilities:

Follow all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, and undertake relevant training mentorship, and development activities.
Perform general labor work as assigned and complete maintenance and repair records as required.
Assist with fixing and repairing buildings and installed systems to include lighting systems, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC, under supervision.
Maintain professional appearances of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, grounds, and common areas.
Facilitate office access and office moves by providing moving crates, assembling furniture, office keys, nameplates, etc.

Qualification:

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short communications, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Writing of routine reports and correspondence may be required.
Digital literacy in work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
