Apprentice, Manufacturing Engineering
The Apprenticeship
This is a Higher Apprenticeship Level 4 approved by the Government. This exciting 4-year programme will develop your practical skills and cultivate the knowledge required for your particular role. This is all achieved whilst developing your behaviours such as team working and problem solving, as we are not just interested in what you accomplish, but the manner in which you do it.
Qualification – Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Engineering and a separate practical foundation skill and in plant development programme
The Manufacturing Engineering Higher (Technician) Apprenticeship has three pathways:
Robot Programmer
Controls Engineer
Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician
What’s required
To be eligible for our Higher Apprenticeship programme you will need to demonstrate a passion for Manufacturing and strong motivation for the role. You will also need to meet our academic entry criteria:
Maths and English Language GCSE level 4 (C) or above. In addition you will need three additional GCSE’s including a STEM subject at level 4 (C) or above, or as an alternative to the additional three GCSEs an Engineering Vocational qualification level 3 of 90 credit value (540 GLH).
You’ll also need A Level Maths at C Grade or above.
To be eligible you will need to demonstrate a passion for Manufacturing and strong motivation for the role and a good understanding of a level 3 ‘hands on’ apprenticeship and the learning and training that is involved.
