As a Control System Engineer for the John Deere Construction & Forestry division, located in Dubuque, IA, you will support model-based control design, analysis, and on-machine tuning of control features. This includes:
Control Systems Engineer – Entry Level
Job Description:
Developing control system models for code-generation.
Documenting control theory and field commissioning/tuning processes.
Supporting development of quantified performance requirements.
Working with the Dynamic System Modeling team to integrate control system and vehicle system models.
What Skills You Need
Experience with Matlab, Simulink, and model-based system design
Strong understanding of physics, mathematics, and dynamic systems
Knowledge in embedded software, hydraulics, powertrain, mechanisms, or robotics
Knowledge in control theory
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
Master’s degree in Control Systems or other relevant discipline, preferred
