Process Technology Specialist – GB

Job Description:

Work ranges from major capital investment, high value medium term enhancements through to problem solving and trouble shooting in a dynamic works environment. The role will be within a small team based on the plant and will involve regular interaction with production and engineering personnel to deliver results.

You’ll work with plant data to understand the key relationships, based upon the physical understanding of the process, then to come up with proposals to change the process in order to improve it. Your work will include developing mathematical models, plant/process monitors, design changes, operational changes, statistical analysis, control system modifications and infrastructural developments, and necessarily impacts on the disciplines of mechanical, electrical and systems engineering.

Qualification:

The Process Technology Specialists will be degree qualified in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths discipline. Previous experience in a manufacturing / process industry is an advantage (although not a pre-requisite), and may be taken in lieu of a formal qualification.

If you have a degree or higher qualification in a STEM subject then we can support your development into this role. Experience of computer coding is an advantage, as is experience of analytics in an operations context, but neither is a pre-requisite in the case of an otherwise capable and enthusiastic applicant with a willingness to develop their technical skills.

You’ll be an excellent problem solver and have the ability to work with data to identify cause and effect. The Process Technology Specialist will be a driven individual, able to prioritise their own workload and adapt to changing priorities.
