We currently have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Electrical and EC&I Engineer as a Process Safety Engineer (EC&I) into the Process safety team of the Iron and Burdening Department at our Port Talbot works.

Job Description:

As a Process Safety Engineer, you will work within a dedicated team, using the output from standard process safety risk assessment (Hazop / LoPA etc) to develop and maintain proof tests / maintenance plans etc..

Ensure EC&I equipment dedicated to process safety is fit for purpose and meets current standards .
Analyse equipment performance / design and operability to ensure effective and reliable response on demand.
Assist with the installation of small projects
Understand and at all times comply with company policy, where it effects your day to day activities.
Supervision/work with specialist contractors in certain tasks.
Be committed to self-development and learning, to maximise performance and provide succession resource for the business.

Qualification:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will require a degree / HNC qualification in an instrumentation/electronics or electrical discipline. You will ideally have some experience of working within a manufacturing industry (heavy preferred), in an electrical / instrumentation based role.

Equally important is a positive disposition, and the ability to work both as an individual and within a multi disciplined team, in a safety first manner.
