Manufacturing Trainee – UK
Over the next 12 months, we are looking to recruit a number of Manufacturing Trainee positions that have arisen at our Llanwern site. We are current looking to recruit a number of positions to support various works areas at the plant. As part of the Trainee programme, you will initially be employed on a 2 year Fixed Term Contract. On successful completion of the 2 year traineeship, you will then be considered for a permanent, Operator role.
Job Description:
Manufacturing Trainees are responsible for their own safety and the safe operation of their area. They report to the Team Leader on a shift basis and are responsible for supporting all aspects of the operations to ensure shift team objectives and ultimately customer excellence is achieved. Within the role, you will ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with local and works procedures in order to provide a safe working environment.
Requirements
Applicants will ideally be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent and experience of working within a manufacturing environment would be preferred.
Basic IT skills are essential and knowledge of the works computer system (SAP) is desirable.
Candidates for these roles will demonstrate good team working skills and abilities. They should have problem solving skills and decision-making capability and will be self-starters who can demonstrate a proactive attitude to work and a willingness to learn. Applicants should also possess a drive to achieve the objectives / targets of the department and have strong communication skills.
Within these roles, Trainees will be required to complete and pass an NVQ Level 2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations.
The ability to be mobile around the site is essential.
