Alfa Laval Canada is looking for a Service Centre Technician (Thermal) in our Service Centre team, who would be responsible team member in executing repair activities on Plant Heat Exchangers. In this challenging hands-on role, you will be part of a team in the maintenance, repair and reconditioning of Alfa Laval & non Alfa Laval (ALLBrands) heat exchangers.
Service Center Engineer – Canada
Job Description:
This is an entry level role for general industrial / mechanical technician.
Your duties will include the disassembly, cleaning, high pressure washing, inspection (using Alfalaval tool), dye checking, gasketing, assembly and hydrotesting of plate heat exchangers.
Your duties will also include working on heat exchangers at various stages of the reconditioning process.
You will also be required to support Field Service activities at customers locations if requested.
Operation of high-pressure washer
Use of overhead cranes
Use of lift truck / forklifts
Use of hand and power tools
You will work with the Team Lead to ensure daily workflow and customer deliveries are met.
You will ensure activities within the service center follow our QBS, ISO and Health and Safety systems.
Qualification:
Type and Length of Experience:
1 to 2 years’ experience of industrial service work in various industrial markets.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate:
Ability to work independently.
Safety mindset.
Quality mindset
You will have strong work ethic and a mechanical aptitude that may include previous experience servicing plate heat exchangers or other process related industrial equipment.
Overhead crane and forklift experience is an asset.
As a key member of our service team, flexibility and reliability are a must. You are an adaptable team player who enjoys a challenging position with the ability to work overtime as required.
