Application Engineer Intern (Operator Training Simulator)
As an Application Engineer Intern (Operator Training Simulator) at Honeywell, in Bracknell, you will be trained and supported in working with external customers and Honeywell teams on Operator Competency solutions, Operator Training Simulators and Process Digital Twins. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.
This internship is set up for 12 months to cover a sandwich placement as part of their degree starting in Summer 2026, or a recent graduate, having graduated no earlier than 2025.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with external customers and Honeywell teams on Operator Competency solutions,
- Operator Training Simulators, and Process Digital Twins.
- Participate in global projects, focusing on interpreting Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams and defining process scope.
- Engage in hardware/software system design, including virtualization system sizing and dynamic process model development.
- Develop user interfaces and create comprehensive documentation for projects.
- Contribute to the development of an internal Wiki site, documenting best practices and tool development.
- Ensure adherence to Honeywell best practices and industry guidelines, gaining exposure to DCS/SIS systems from Honeywell and other manufacturers
Qualifications:
- Currently studying a degree in Chemical Engineering, requiring an industrial placement in 2026 as part of the degree.

Electrical Engineer – Summer 2026 Intern
Honeywell is hiring an Electrical Engineering – Summer 2026 Intern. Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager for the opportunity on which they are working, the Intern Bachelors Engineer’s primary responsibility is to support local Estimating Team directly or indirectly in take offs, creating calculations and proposals, looking for solutions for the Customers via Sales Reps and/or Account Managers mainly with the use of Honeywell products, furthermore being in close cooperation with Engineering, Operations and Sourcing Teams and Subcontracting parties (Vendors/Suppliers/Installers/Designers).
The Intern Bachelors Engineer must ensure that all calculation and desired documentation is completed on a timely and accurate manner so that all items that are reported to have been prepared and completed will be correct when assessed by an assigned Estimator in charge.
The Intern Bachelors Engineer must technically understand the desired outcome and result of the task as well as the workings of the Honeywell/3rd party products that they are working with.
Job Responsibilities
- Working closely with estimators supporting them with partial tasks to speed up the process
- Doing the take offs in case of new opportunities
- Taking part in internal negotiations with Sales/Estimation/Engineering/Operations/Sourcing Teams
- Being in contact and in negotiations with Subcontractors, Vendors
- Looking after technical details, solutions to be implemented into the proposals
Working out solutions individually to be discussed and implemented into the solution as one team - Ensure applicable local and industry codes and standards are upheld during the process
