Bechtel is seeking a recent graduate from university studies in social sciences, human rights, sustainability, communications and/or international/community/public relations to join Bechtel’s Graduate program.

Graduate – Sustainable Development – Australia 

Analyse Sustainability and ESG trends in the mining industry.
Provide input into the development and execution of the company Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan.
Participate in the identification of Sustainability and ESG initiatives for existing and future projects.
Provide day-to-day follow up and support to team members in relation to project / engagement delivery.
Assist in providing sustainability relevant information for project bids and proposals.
Support in preparation for meetings on sustainability matters.
Support in responding to sustainability-related proposals.
Support in the development of tools; templates etc to support overall management and execution of sustainability across mining and metals.
Support in the creation of communications for sustainability related blogs, newsletters, etc.
Participate in and provide support for relevant business resource groups.
Participate in projects, shadowing and learning, client interaction, project management, scheduling and workshops.
Contribute to the successful execution of other research initiatives as needed.
Applicants must have completed their degree at an accredited university in one of the fields listed above withing the last 12 months,

Employee Relations Graduate – Pluto Train 2 – 2023 University Hire

We are seeking an Employee Relations Graduate to join our Pluto Train 2 Project, located in Karratha Western Australia.

Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive craft professional personnel files, queries, and information.
Keeps abreast of Craft Professional Application and Requisition system functionality known as BrassRing system, supporting mobilisations to the Project.
Performs data entry into Workforce Services Systems such as SAP Time for actions in Hiring, Evaluations, Reclassifications, Rate changes, Terminations
Assist with conducting company and/or project new hire orientations with support from the broader team
Enforce all policies and procedures with project ensuring fairness and consistency
Engages with the Project workforce and supervision on employee relations matters
Assists with collection of information and data in support of Workforce Services specific task/activities
Assists in maintaining filing system for project files, including legal correspondence, verifications, and other documentation
Assist with preparing weekly and monthly reports
Other tasks as designated by the Workplace Relations Manager.
Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources, Business or other relevant discipline from an accredited university.
Right to live and work in Australia without employer sponsorship
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated teamwork skills
Demonstrated levels of initiative and engagement via positions of leadership in academic, sports and/or extracurricular activities

Intern – Engineering – Australia 

Bechtel’s internship program was created to cultivate real-life industry interest based on hands-on experience. Many new university graduate hires began their careers at Bechtel as a student intern.
Applicants must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in a relevant degree to the role advertised.

Our Infrastructure Internship program is open to all undergraduates in Civil Engineering, Services Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Commercial (Quantity Surveying), Construction Management, Health & Safety, Planning & Project Controls and Sustainability. During this time you’ll see how our business works and take on tasks that will give you valuable experience – all while having a real impact on our organization. You will be able to work part time throughout the semester and full time over the Summer holiday break.

2023 Apprenticeship (UK) – Project Controls

We are looking for a creative, agile and resourceful Apprentice to help us fulfil our ambition of developing prospects into viable construction and engineering projects. This apprenticeship will allow you to grow and develop as part of our ‘Early Career Hire’ Talent pipeline within our project controls team, We will provide you with the experience, training and support needed to become a project controls, and open up many pathways in the construction industry.

Support in the development of FEED and construction programmes

Assisting each of the project’s Engineering, Construction and Project Controls (PC) teams in implementing and maintaining Bechtel’s PC processes and the identification of potential improvements for the customer’s consideration

Supporting the development of these process and quality improvements to improve efficiency in the delivery of the scope
