Apprenticeship in Interactive Media Design EFZ, – Switzerland
A professional team of vocational trainers (Berufsbildner:innen) will guide and support you during your 4-year apprenticeship with Google. After an onboarding period, you will be fully engaged in existing and new projects that will challenge you and lay the foundation for a successful future as an Interactive Media Designer.
Embedded in our User Experience (UX) Media Design teams, you will focus on the creation and design of new projects. You will rotate between different teams, with different specialities, to understand the range of roles in this fast-growing field.
Job Responsibilities
Understand product opportunities through partnership with users, user research, product management, data science, and engineering.
Understand and incorporate cultural, ethical, and diverse perspectives to create products that are inclusive and global.
Create digital content (e.g., wireframes, mockups, prototypes, presentations) to communicate and progress concepts through to implementation.
Learn and apply the fundamentals of usability through design and research.
Develop a craft of high-quality execution according to the highest interaction, interface, and experience design standards.
Qualifications:
Graduate of the highest level of secondary school.
Academic grades in the average of 4.5 or higher.
Completed Multicheck (Media and Design).
Ability to communicate in English and German fluently, to interact with stakeholders and schools.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience and interest in interactive media, digital communication tools, art, or design.
Enthusiasm and passion for new technologies and tools, demonstrated through personal projects and interest in learning new skills.
Demonstrated creative problem solving skills and abstract thinking.
Intention to pursue the Berufsmaturitätsschule (BM1) during the apprenticeship.
Have authorization to work in Switzerland.

Apprenticeship in Digital Business, EFZ, – Switzerland
Embedded in our Global Business and Sales teams, you will focus on structuring and developing improved digital processes and models. You will analyze, interpret, and visualize data to enhance understanding. You will also communicate your findings and ideas effectively to others. You will rotate through various teams, each with different specializations, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the diverse roles in this rapidly evolving field.
Job Responsibilities
Analyze current processes to develop optimization proposals.
Understand and incorporate cultural, ethical, and diverse perspectives to create suitable and inclusive solutions.
Analyze data and interpret results.
Develop high quality visualizations and presentations for your target audience.
Collaborate in projects, coordinate workflows, and engage with internal subject matter experts. Support the implementation of digital solutions by creating training materials and user documentation.
Qualifications:
Graduate of the highest level of secondary school.
Academic grades in the average of 4.5 or higher.
Completed Multicheck (Wirtschaft & Administration)
Ability to communicate in English and German fluently, to interact with stakeholders and schools.
Preferred qualifications:
Strong analytical skills and interconnected thinking.
Organizational talent with great presentation and teamwork skills.

Apprenticeship in Application Development, in EFZ
professional team of vocational trainers (Berufsbildner:innen) will guide and support you during your 4-year apprenticeship with Google. After a 1-year foundation course (Basislehrjahr) you will join your Google team in Zurich and will be fully engaged in existing and new projects that will challenge you and lay the foundation for a successful future as an Application Developer.
As a Computer Scientist apprentice focused on Application Development, you’ll dive into software design and development, working alongside various front-end and back-end teams across Google’s product suite. This immersive experience will expose you to the diverse roles and career paths within this dynamic field.
Job Responsibilities
Proactively analyze a range of problems, identify potential solutions, and implement them effectively.
Foster strong collaboration within your team, clearly communicating ideas and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that aligns with project requirements, and conduct solid testing to ensure functionality and reliability.
Qualifications:
Graduate of the highest level of secondary school.
Academic grades in the average of 4.5 or higher.
Completed Multicheck Junior ICT report.
Ability to communicate in English and German fluently, to interact with stakeholders and schools.
Preferred qualifications:
Passion for new technologies and a strong motivation to learn.
Experience and strong interest in writing code.
Genuine enthusiasm for reading technical texts.
Demonstrated logical and abstract thinking.
Intention to pursue the Berufsmaturitätsschule (BM1) during the apprenticeship.
Authorization to work in Switzerland.
