JPMorgan Chase & Co. plans to hire over 5,000 people

Banking and financial services provider JPMorgan Chase & Co. plans to hire over 5,000 people for its tech workforce in India this year, Economic Times reports. MD and Mumbai Tech Centre Lead Ravi Pasupuleti says more employees from India will take on global tech roles.

The new hires will work out of the company’s Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai centres, focusing on areas like artificial intelligence, machine learning, cyber security, data engineering and cloud computing.

JP Morgan currently employs more than 40,000 people in tech operations across India. It increased its tech headcount by 4,000 last year.

It also opened a 8,22,000 sq-ft campus in Hyderabad last year, its largest in the APAC region.

Yet another blooming opportunity for people in the Indian tech space to grab onto. Looks promising if only the skill gap can be addressed to a certain extent. I guess with the increase in number of candidates interested in taking up courses in the fields of AI, ML, CS, DE and CC despite their graduation or background plays a very integral part in fintech and edutech companies going on a hiring spree.
