Digital Research Intern – Singapore
The intern will work on cutting edge innovations in the aviation domain to drive our data science initiatives and build models that can help with making effective decisions. During the internship, the student will gain knowledge in different aspects of aviation industry. Meanwhile, the related trainings will be provided to the intern.
Internship Cycle: This opening is for a long-term pipeline preparation, it will be a rolling program with consistent hiring demand, please add your planned internship period in application/resume.
The onboarding date can be discussed in a later stage.
Duration: at least 4 months.
Attendance: Full-time is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
1) Build and implement state-of-the-art, scalable machine learning and deep learning models to meet the business needs
2) Design and implement ontology-based applications and tools to support data integration and analysis
3) Validate historical data with statistical analysis, and drive the data science activities from concept creation to visualization and deployment
4) Collaborate and work closely with application development teams to deploy models in the production environment and/or integrate analytics capabilities into API microservices
5) Develop novel ideas and document new idea generation process
6) Other tasks and duties requested by management
Qualifications:
Motivated by an international and fast-paced work environment with a strong team spirit and motivational character
Excellent communication and story-telling skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Final year Bachelors or Masters students majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
Advanced programming skills in Python and/or R.
Able to write and execute complex queries using SQL and NoSQL
Experience in various components of the knowledge-based ecosystem (Neo4J etc.)
Able to visualize data using D3.js or other visualization frameworks
Object-oriented software development experience using modern programming languages is an advantage
Prior experience in system networking, embedded systems, and/or cybersecurity is an advantage
Prior experience in working with aviation datasets is an advantage

This requisition is for a locally hired internship.
Candidates must have current legal authorization to work in Singapore.

Assembly Mechanic Apprenticeship-Structures – US
Employees are participants in a full-time company sponsored on-the-job training program. The Assembly Mechanic Apprentice program helps learners develop the skills needed to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Assignments are structured to provide learning experiences that lead to a course completion within a skill area.
The apprenticeship has 4 pathways: Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Composites.
The Structures cohort is a 15-week program. Upon completion, the candidate will have successfully demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the work of a Structures Assembly Mechanic, to include, interpreting model-based drawings and blueprints, following work instructions, Sealant application, fastener layout, drilling, countersinking, fastener installation and removal, trimming of parts, and identifying all required hand tools, parts and equipment to accomplish defect-free work and ensuring structural integrity and safety.
What is a Technical Apprenticeship?
Boeing Technical Apprenticeship Program (BTAP), is an official registered apprenticeship recognized by the Department of Labor (DOL). It is an earn and learn program including formal learning, on-the-job experiences, and mentorship. Every graduate of a Registered Apprenticeship program will receive a nationally-recognized credential from the DOL.
Eligibility Criteria:
A degree is not required to apply for most technical apprenticeship programs. We select apprentices based on a range of core traits and skills, such as:

Curious mindset, problem solving, and ability to quickly apply back into your work
Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new things and help others
Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Additional Information
This program is located on the St. Louis Community College – Florissant Valley campus
Class start dates will vary based on pathway and course schedule.
Classes may be held on first or second shift, based on demand for that session. Selected candidates will be informed of their shift prior to the start of the course
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Understanding of intermediate math
Basic computer skills
Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
