Engineering Development Program (ME EDP 2026)

We are looking for an Engineer in Development, with an opportunity to have a significant impact on the Professional Tools business. The Engineering Development Program (EDP) is a three-year development program designed to provide a range of development opportunities, focused on engineering, to help recent university graduates build critical skills as they gain a well-rounded experience within our organization. These structured experiences will expose participants to several elements of our development process and provide real opportunities to collaborate with other employees and management, receive mentoring, gain multi-functional experience, and receive formal training. Rotational assignments include Manufacturing Engineering, New Product Development, Sustaining Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.

You’ll apply the latest technologies, equipment, and research facilities to bring your ideas to life. Your responsibilities will consist of product development, sustainability, and research. You will have the opportunity to develop new products for our customers, designed to meet their specific needs. These products include plumbing and electrical tools, accessories, and new market applications.

Qualification: 

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Legally eligible to work in the United States
comfortable with up to 10% travel
Able to relocate for positions as required

Preferred Qualifications:

Engineering co-op or internship experience
GPA of 3.25 or above
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated strong leadership and technical skills
Highly motivated and takes initiative

Graduate Software Engineering Intern

We are looking for a Graduate Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2026) who is interested in gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment at our Round Rock, TX, location.

You will explore and prototype software technology in the process industries, execute a project in AI, Machine Learning, or Control, be a part of a cross-functional team with frontend development, backend development, and UX, and work in an agile team and learn to scope and execute projects.

Job Responsibilities:

Research and learn about product development using agile development methodology
Become familiar with frontend reactive frameworks
Design and implement APIs
Apply AI technologies to support frontend functions
Learn about and compare AI and Machine Learning algorithms
Utilize agentic framework, MCP, Ollama LLMs
Build software in C#, Go, and Python

Qualification:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university
Pursuing a graduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science or similar STEM degree
Computer Science – algorithms, networking, and language development such as C/C++, C#, and Go are required.
Engineering – computational analysis, numerical methods, control, an understanding of process technologies (e.g., distillation columns, heat exchangers, etc.), and language development such as C/C++, C#, Go, and Python are required.
Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completed courses in computer architecture, software algorithms, linear algebra, C/C++, C#, Go, or Python
Exposure to frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
Exposure to: AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, LLMs, Deep Neural Networks
Previous internship experience in a professional environment
Strategic mindset and self-motivated
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
Innovative approach to solving problems
