Technical Analyst – Telecom Background
Job Description:
Technical Analyst role is with the Service Activation Team in charter. This team is responsible for developing application that are used for provisioning and activation voice , internet and video services for customer. Charter is currently consolidating its back end platform (Service Delivery Platform ) for Small and Medium business and requires a technical analyst to be able to define the technical requirement for one of its application Provisioning Adapter. The application is responsible for transforming orders from various legacy billers to a common provision order specification. As part of the role:
Will have to define the transformation rules from various biller to a common provisioning order spec
Will have to map parameters from biller xml to provisioning order spec xml.
Analyze existing payloads is Prod and extract the legacy business rules and define similar requirements for the new systems.
Review defects and identify fixes.
Write Jira stories so the developers can build the new system.
Skills required:
Splunk : Analyze logs in Prod and Tests
SQL: Write DB queries to extract payloads and analyze
Telcom knowledge in the order management domain is a plus.
Good communication skills
Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
Required Skills and Experience:
You are a self-reliant analyst who has mastered at least one methodology. You are developing your knowledge in a business and/or industry domain and an ERP solution or a technical tool / programming language. Possible positions could include being a Business Process Consultant describing processes, Requirements Analyst describing business / functional requirements or Package configuration.
Bachelors Degree.
Should have progressing skills in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Business Change Management, Functional Architecture Design & Project Financials, KPIs & Reporting
Should have baseline skills in Software Engineering, Architecture Knowledge & Testing.
