Data Engineer – USA

Job Responsibilities:

Build and deliver data pipelines to store data in a way that is accessible, performant, secure, and sustainable
Prototype solutions, prepare test scripts, and conduct tests for data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and data modeling for data warehouses
Review and validate data loaded into data lakes/warehouses for accuracy
Develop proofs of concept and evaluate design options to deliver ingestion, search, metadata cataloging and scheduling of data pipelines
Data engineering in line with standard processes and Cognizant’s reference architecture
Understand and detail technical use case requirements to deliver data movement and transformation solutions

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field and 0-3 years of IT experience
Strong business interpersonal skills (including written and oral)
Programming experience with Python, Python Pyspark or Java development for modern data engineering
Strong background in relational data models
Exposure in Data Pipelines & SQL / NoSQL (e.g. Cassandra, HBase) and Relational Database management systems
Exposure to implementing PaaS services on public clouds – Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, SingleStore, Oracle, Informatica
Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills

Distinguishing Qualifications

Full Data lifecycle development experience
Industry experience (financial services, insurance, retail, healthcare, life sciences, communications)

Digital Operations – Digital Marketing Specialist – Europe

TECHNICAL ANALYST ASSOCIATE – USA

Review and update low, normal and high priority client tickets required by Service Delivery Manager (SDM)
Using various tools, watch for trending files received or identify missing files, missing remit requests, etc.
Timely creation of Agree Requests for EDI enrollment for claims and remits
Provide updates to submitter and account tables when applicable
Open and follow-up on all second level requests via job requests
Perform QA as requested by co-workers
Responsible for all client communication including emails, voicemails, and tickets
Daily file review and/or releasing
Perform all claim status checks
Payor research using internal resources and third party vendors
Become proficient on internal tools used including but not limited to Submitter, Explorer, Payors, Tables, Ops Page, Tableau
Prepare out of office updates for SDM. This entails bringing SDM up to speed on any events/issues that occurred while they may have been out of the office either on business, pleasure, or due to illness
Help ensure that appropriate coverage is maintained for system and phones at all times
Other duties as assigned by management

Qualification:

High school education or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree a plus)
Strong MSOffice Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) skills
