Job Description:
Support in the design and testing of PLC and HMI software solutions on a broad range of projects.
Identify opportunities to drive improvements in data collection, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
Setup project datalogging and ensure data correctness and integrity at all times.
Assist with the smooth migration of the database to the server.
Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of cloud storage for processing data.
Ensure the standardization of PLC programs across projects.
Improve the parametrization and diagnostics of I/O Cards, working towards automated I/O mapping.
Research and implement security measures for IP protection and IOT environment
Occasional client site commissioning and testing; including writing factory and site acceptance test documents.
Qualifications
Degree Qualified, in Electro-Mechanical / Electrical / Automation Engineering, or existing experience in a similar position.
Knowledge of Siemens PLC Programming (STEP 7 & TIA-Portal) is essential, knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems would be beneficial.
Knowledge of SQL would be beneficial.
Experience in a manufacturing environment, either through industry experience, internship, temporary student employment would be highly desirable.
Strong problem – solving abilities teamed with a high attention to detail.
A hands-on mentality to make wiring adaptations while testing new systems
The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment.
English skills are essential.
