Customer Engineer 

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate and process warranty request through the OEM, reports and solution to be provided.

Coordinate to fabricate Product Validation samples with the manufacturing teams

Support meeting in a manufacturing ambience related to product change and implementation.

Review and interpret GD & T on technical prints.

Translates customer needs and “voice of the customer” into functional product requirements

Serves as customer/market advocate inside Cummins during participation in new product development programs, design reviews and product change request processes

Owns problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems or services with technical complexity and ambiguity

Contributes effectively toward team goals, exhibits influence within a work group and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

University degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or related STEM field is required.

Preferred candidates would have relevant experience working in either a temporary student employment environment or as an early career professional in a relevant technical discipline area. Experience in manufacturing process machining and welding process.

Customer Order Management Representative – Level III – India

Responsible for assigned customer accounts for the entire order life cycle (from new customer set-up, order entry/modification, escalations; responsibilities might include logistics management) to ensure orders are shipped to agreed deadline. Act as the single-point-of-contact to Cummins’ customers, parts distribution centers and/or manufacturing plants and cross functional departments to process and fulfil customer orders; providing accurate documentation and continual communication to customer throughout the process.

Qualification: 

Degree in related field preferred.

2 plus years of relevant customer order management, account management or in the supply chain field

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Time management: Demonstrates effective and efficient use of individual and organizational time to achieve key business objectives

Attention to detail: Accurate data entry skills Fast typing speed with accuracy, extreme attention to detail

Ability to navigate a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications and the ability to gain knowledge in using order processing and analytics systems
