Associate Graduate Trainee- Risk Management – Singapore
You’ll make a difference by:
Gaining a minimum 24-month on-the-job training and will assist the risk management professionals in their day-to-day activities in underwriting and portfolio management of debt transactions in the Asia/ Australia region
Being eligible for an oversees assignment up to 6 months to Munich Germany or London, United Kingdom as part of the full program
Gaining experience in different areas of our business by rotating between risk management, operations, treasury and origination, working with a dedicated nominated mentor during the trainee program
Supporting the risk team members with financial statement analysis, industry, business analysis as well analysis as part of the due diligence process to ascertain credit profile of potential customers
Gaining a good understanding of cash flow models as well as analysing business plans
Getting an in-depth understanding of the operations of a regulated entity (Siemens Bank) forming part of an industrial parent, Siemens AG
Learning about business administration, regulatory reporting and compliance in a bank, and you will support Risk and Portfolio Managers in keeping all system data updated over the life of a loan; liaise with other departments in case of questions; act as first contact and main interface for queries from functions and other departments
Taking on ad-hoc projects as assigned by management contribute to preparation of regular reporting for management review
Job Requirement:
University graduates with a Bachelor/Masters in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent, showing a keen interest in banking and finance.
Willingness to undertake overseas assignments as part of the rotational position.
Knowledge and interest in project finance. Prior internship experience or 1-2 years in finance-related roles would be advantageous.
Characteristics include logical thinking, analytical skills, a self-learning attitude, and a forward-thinking problem-solving approach.
Ability to work independently, taking ownership of challenges, and a desire to drive and lead change.
Collaboration skills, along with a convincing and motivating personality for finding innovative solutions.
Strong social and communication skills in English, prior project work experience, intercultural exposure, initiative, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics, reflecting a growth mindset for ongoing learning and skills development.
