Associate Analyst

An associate analyst in the team will be primarily responsible to develop working knowledge of firm level Independence concepts. The individual will be performing work procedures as laid down in the EYG Independence policies along with attaining hands-on experience in research/analysis and making updates post review by project managers to various EY tools and databases, thereby helping client serving/audit teams in mitigating independence-related risk.

In this role, candidate will be required to perform a review of submissions of documents/ requests from client serving teams to evaluate completeness, accuracy, of requests raised and perform reconciliation, research and analysis of information with various EY Independence and finance tools to update these systems with accurate information. The individual will be required to communicate with project managers and team members from audit/pursuit teams to perform follow ups for responses and completion of procedures.

Qualification:

Graduate/Masters/Post-graduate degree (preferably in Finance domain) from a reputed institution.
0 – 1 year of experience in research and analysis in a professional services firm.
Candidates with exposure of handing client interaction would be preferred.
Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication (both verbal and written) skills in English
Basic understanding of type of company structures, Ownership structures, awareness of auditor Independence and basic risk management concepts.

Intermediate level of knowledge in MS Office (Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint etc.)

US FSO BTC – RE – Tax Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrate an understating of basic tax concepts and proactively increases tax knowledge through client assignments and current tax developments
Prepare tax returns and other informational forms as prescribed
Deliver high quality and timely work
Research tax theory and positions, and apply them to specific client needs
Develop client service and engagement – skills
Assist Senior team members on special projects, as requested
Exercise independent judgment and discretion when preparing tax returns
Help create a supportive teaming environment
Work with a diverse set of engagement teams across sectors and geographies
Proactively reach out to teams soliciting real time feedback for work performed and take appropriate action
Multi – Task on various projects within the tax segment and be cross trained
Proposing improvement possibilities to raise effectiveness and efficiency of the work processes

Qualification:

B.Com/M.Com/MBA-Finance
60% and above in current degree with no active backlog

EY’s Forensic Data Analytics (FDA) practice is a global, data-focused team within the Forensic & Integrity Services (FIS) department. Our team supports clients in dealing with the complex issues of fraud, regulatory compliance, and business disputes.

The FDA team practices the full life cycle of data analysis from the early stages of data discovery and capture to its management, analysis and reporting. Our engagements typically require working with large datasets from disparate sources to support investigations, disputes, and proactive risk detection.

Qualification:

Strong academic qualifications with a degree in a STEM discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
