Analyst – Indirect Tax

Job Description:

Be responsible for complete execution of the assigned engagements (a) Preparation and assistance with return filing and report generation.
Be aware of services that the practice provides-Build internal networks to develop understanding of service line offerings and bring potential opportunities to the attention of the team.
Understand the basic technical issues during reviewing data and bring discrepancies / additional data requirements to the attention of the team.
Coordinate with the manager/senior executive regards the planning and management of assignments.
Provide input for process improvements/automation.
Provide quality service, be commercial and reduce rework.

People responsibilities
Maintain composure and exercises control in pressure situations in the team.
Contribute to effective team work in internal engagement situations.
Ability to meet/adhere to strict deadlines, being passionate about the client support specialist role

To qualify for the role you must have
Graduate from any stream with at least 6 months -1 year of work experience in Tax.
Prior experience/insight into GST and Customs, as also the erstwhile Indirect taxation viz. Sales Tax/ Service Tax/Central Excise is desirable.

Ideally you’ll also have
Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.
Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility.
