Engineering Development Program – United States

Job Description:

We’re looking for a driven engineer to help us make an impact. The John Deere Engineering Development Program is a full time rotational opportunity targeted for new college graduates. Engineers are supported in experiencing multiple roles in a condensed timeframe to explore foundational engineering practices within Product, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering.

A few examples of roles engineers have worked in while in the program are

Test
Controls & simulations
Electronics
Embedded software
Engines,
Drivetrain
Factory automation
Weld
Manufacturing

Robotics
Programming and hydraulics – just to name a few!

Qualification:

Currently pursuing or recent college graduate with a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Ag Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
Minimum cumulative GPA required of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
Previous internship, co-op, or project focused research experience.
Skill in using computer aided design, engineering tools and/or programming language.

This opportunity resides at multiple US based facilities in the Midwest and Southeast regions, so you must be willing to relocate domestically.

Engineer, Advanced Engineering – United States

Job Description:

Work closely with scientists and engineering design and development teams across John Deere on mechanical design, thermal design, and assembly processes.
Interact and collaborate with engineers and scientists to define project goals and execute plans to design products and reliability testing.
Calibrate, maintain, and operate multiple pieces of lab equipment necessary to conduct experiments.
Reduce data to useful formats using appropriate tools.
Maintain accurate records of the work performed and other records required by the projects.
Share project progress through oral presentations and written reports.
Present technical work both internally and externally.
Think independently and develop imaginative and unique solutions to problems.

Understanding of mechanical design and material processing.
Attention to detail in laboratory work, documentation, and presentation.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills in a diverse, global team environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage work queue, and perform multiple, concurrent tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Availability to work in the office and lab located in Fargo, ND

Qualification:

Knowledge of analytical tools for failure analysis
An interest working in the electronics industry.
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline
