Function: Manufacturing Engineering – (Product, Manfuacturing, Quality, Operations)

This opportunity resides at multiple US based facilities in the Midwest and Southeast regions, so you must be willing to relocate domestically.

Job Description:

We’re looking for a driven engineer to help us make an impact. The John Deere Engineering Development Program is a full time rotational opportunity targeted for new college graduates. Engineers are supported in experiencing multiple roles in a condensed timeframe to explore foundational engineering practices within Product, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering.

A few examples of roles engineers have worked in while in the program are Design, Test, Controls & Simulations, Electronics, Embedded Software, Engines, Drivetrain, Factory Automation, Weld, Manufacturing, Assembly, Robotics, Programming and Hydraulics – just to name a few!

Qualification:

Currently pursuing or recent college graduate with a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Ag Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
Minimum cumulative GPA required of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
Previous internship, co-op, or project focused research experience.
Skill in using computer aided design, engineering tools and/or programming language.

Deere & Company is seeking an Engineer Product in Dubuque, IA with the following requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field plus 1 year of related experience.

Required skills: Design Wire Harnesses using PTC Creo Parametrics and cabling module (1 yr);

Analyze Electrical Components with Simstress and baseline analysis (1 yr);

Read, Interpret and Create Electrical System Schematics using Capital Harness software and its modules Capital Logic, Capital harness XC and Capital integrator (1 yr); \

Process Engineering Design Changes using workflow management tool SAP and PDM (1 yr).

5% remote work allowed. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite.

Up to 15% domestic and international travel required.

Data and Factory Automation Engineer – USA

Job Description:

Locates and acquires data from existing data locations, external sources, and new data sources as needed to support analytics and reporting.
Creates ad hoc reports and visualizations that support data-driven decisions.
Leads moderately to highly complex integration (installation and networking) of shop floor equipment and tooling into Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and PLCs. Leads moderately to highly complex MES configuration, and testing.
Leads in development and implementation of small to medium Factory Automation (FA) solutions. May assist other Project Leads in the development and implementation of large and complex solutions.

Qualification:

Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.).
Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.
Programming skills necessary to create and maintain applications.
Understanding of various functions within respective business.
Knowledge of engineering systems, tools and databases.

Required:

Knowledge and experience with PowerBi, Power Apps, Tableau, ignition and Alleryx.
Knowledge and experience with DataRobot, DataBricks, RabbitMQ, and SQL.
Knowledge and experience with PLC, Kepware, MTConnect, and Fanuc Focas.
Knowledge and experience with Python.
Knowledge and experience with CVML including Rasberry Pi and Machine Learning.
Knowledge and experience with CREO.

Education:

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. – University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. – University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
