Job Description:

Begin to analyze threat trends and anomalies to determine operational impact.
Determine vectors that introduce threat and potential mitigation strategies. Learn about systemic security issues and how to address them.
Process threat reporting from internal and external sources. Provide discrete threat data based on intelligence requirements or customer requests.
Identify security defects or vulnerabilities and deficiencies in security guidance.
Contribute code to technical implementation and automation of solutions to address security issues, such as signature detection, malware, threat analysis, or reverse engineering. Use results from research and experimentation to support architecture or product direction.
Identify areas of dependency and overlap with other teams or team members. Provide constructive input so the work is integrated and timely. Communicate the status of deliverables and dependencies to meet schedule.
Engage in measures to protect tools, techniques, information, and results of security practices. Respond to incidents for systems or products as needed. Use results of pen testing to improve products and services.

Qualifications:

Recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
1+ year(s) experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, and/or anomaly detection.

Preferred:

3+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detection

Research Intern – Project Transcendence: Generative AI-driven Interaction Techniques for the Future of Apps & Documents – United States

Job Responsibilities:

Research Interns put inquiry and theory into practice. Alongside fellow doctoral candidates and some of the world’s best researchers, Research Interns learn, collaborate, and network for life. Research Interns not only advance their own careers, but they also contribute to exciting research and development strides. During the 12-week internship, Research Interns are paired with mentors and expected to collaborate with other Research Interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the community. Research internships are available in all areas of research, and are offered year-round, though they typically begin in the summer.

Qualifications:

Must be accepted or currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science or related STEM field.

Other Requirements

Research Interns are expected to be physically located in their manager’s Microsoft worksite location for the duration of their internship.
In addition to the qualifications above and your current CV, you will need to arrange for at least two reference letters for this position. Preferred:
